Shivani Nyati Highlights Sunshine Pictures’ Strong Debut and Cautiously Positive Outlook

Sunshine Pictures shares made a decent debut on August 25, listing at ₹395.90 on NSE, up 9.97% over the IPO issue price of ₹360. On BSE, the stock debuted at ₹394, representing a 9.44% gain. The IPO had received exceptionally strong demand, with the ₹282 crore issue subscribed 105.8 times.
Shivani Nyati, Head of Wealth at Swastika Investmart, highlighted the company's 16% year-on-year increase in FY26 profit to ₹40.02 crore, expansion in EBITDA margins to 78.65% and RoE of around 32%. She also pointed to the company's low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.06 and established presence in film and content production as positives for the long-term business story.
Nyati maintained a cautiously positive view but advised investors against chasing the stock after the initial listing gain. Existing allottees could consider holding with a stop-loss around ₹370, while fresh investors could wait for meaningful dips and clearer evidence of consistent revenue growth and earnings visibility.
